my 'New Year resolutions'

okay! 2010 is just two hours away, and therefore i would like to post my New Year resolutions.

I have just three to make, lest i cannot fulfil all =)


#1: Learn to be less angry, and be more smiley.

#2: Have to be more friendly, and more helpful. best of all, be an all-rounder in all things good.

And finally...

#3: Gotta complete all my LIFEPACS by mid-2010 !!! hehe XD



so this concludes my resolutions, and i do hope everyone soaks up the last of 2009, and bask in the new year and the beginning of a new decade! continue to trust in God and whatever you face in the new year, just believe that God can help you through it all. cheers! :)

the end of 2009 is near..

wow! it is only 2 days left of 2009, and now is probably the time to look back and reflect on the events of 2009. this year has certainly gone by fast, but i am glad i lived through it. you never know when you might leave this world, so every morning when you wake up, do remember to thank God that He has given you another day to live. for me, 2009 began as a mixed year. i didn't even know whether i was going to remain at my previous school or not, but God showed me to A&O Word Centre, and i have enjoyed my time in this school. though not everything went as smoothly as i had expected, i just want to thank God for putting me in this school and helping me to see through my studies. i also want to thank God for all my 'new' friends that i made this year in Word Centre, who have all been nice and helped me a lot. i will be posting my New Year's resolution soon! can't believe that we are entering a new decade! time does fly quickly indeed...

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE~

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!!~ haha.. wow... didnt realize that i haven't been updating me blog for about two weeks, and BOOM! Christmas is already here! wow..! time does indeed fly fast! hmmm... today was okay.. me and my whole family headed for Holy Light church in the morning, and it was great fun, and also i met Eu Vin and Eric there too! ok, so there was nothing fun to do (no offence), but i enjoyed it wholly, as my whole family came along, so yeah... hehe.. what else? hmm... ahhh! the sumptuous five-course meal in Tai Son Restaurant right after Christmas service was uber-fantabulous! boy, was i stuffed! wahahahaha xD

after that, i went out with Eric a while for some cycling, and he gave me the most awesome Xmas gift this year! to Eric: i absolutely LOVE it! THANK YOU!!!~ :D

Wednesday, 9 December 2009 : a really crazy day

this happened yesterday, but i am blogging about it now as i was kinda busy with other things. these past few days has been kinda crazy, REEEEEEEALLY crazy!

take yesterday for example : as usual, it was a working day for me, and so, i got up early and waited for a bus to Permas Jaya. i waited till about 9 plus, yet not a single bus stopped. so, the next thing was to cook up an excuse to tell my boss (the usual ' i'm sick ' excuse). i couldn't belive i had actually done that, you know! 'PONTENG' from office for the 1st time! and without my parents knowing! madness! since i had no where to go, i attended extra classes in school. did some work, then went out for lunch with those who were at school for extra class: Grace, Mei Hong, Jia Le, and Shu Phing. after that i went to a cybercafe with Jia Le, and had fun playing FIFA 10! ~woots~ managed to defeat Man Utd 2-0 with my Portsmouth team! hehe =) anyway after that i called Eric over for some games, and proceeded to CS after that. wow! i never expected to be 'threatened' by a shopkeeper! you see, Eric and i went to see some clothes along Jalan Wong Ah Fook. so as usual, before buying it, we tried on some shirts. then, just as i told the shopkeeper that we'll consider it, he said that we were going back on a 'deal' that supposedly required us to buy it after trying it. so i told him polotely that we did not make a 'deal', yet he continued going on and on about us going back on the 'agreement'. what a shitload of crap! anyway the problem was solved when we told him that we didn't have enough cash, and needed to find an ATM machine to withdraw money. he allowed us to go, and after that we ran from the shop, FAST! hahahahaha! not that i wanted to fool that shopkeeper, but he was rude and unkind, so better to leave fast.

it was a seriously crazy, yet fun day! =D

btw i tried this 'Kiwi Banana' drink from Auntie Anne's, and it is pretty good! =)

I watched this movie called '500 Days Of Summer' yesterday, and i enjoyed it so much! it was great to watch such a different 'love' story. like what it says above, it isn't your ordinary love story. the guy thought that they were made for each other, but sometimes it isn't meant to be. for those of you who haven't yet watched this movie, do remember to watch it. it is worth watching. =)

another s*** day for Liverpool fans

*sigh*... Liverpool fans around the world must probably be writing of their chances of landing the BPL crown for this season after that result (above). the results are not up to mark, the defense is patchy, and the forwards are not scoring enough. As it is, Rafa Benitez is living on borrowed time, yet it seems he is powerless to stop Liverpool's spiralling form. this season has thrown up some pretty crazy results that go against Liverpool's favour, and yesterday's match against Blackburn was to add to this season's 'opportunity to gain 3 pts wasted'.

nothing much to mention about the match, as there were more negatives than positives to take from the match. 'Pool captain Steven Gerrard wasn't at his best, even though it was his 500th club appearance. without Fernando Torres, the whole team don't seem to work well. let's just hope that Torres will recover ASAP. COME ON, LIVERPOOL!

3rd day of my part-time job

it is already the 3rd day into this job! seems fast... hehe... okay... what did i do today? i did... LOTS of typing work! aaarrrgggh! the air-con was freaking cold, and my wrists and fingers were aching like mad! i honestly have never typed that much in a day before...! still, it was required of me, so yeah... no complaints, actually... =)

tomorrow's a new day... looking forward to my 4th day at work, and rounding off the week with another day at the office! keep checking out my blog for updates! =D

2nd day of my part-time job

First and foremost : i really want to thank God for protecting me this morning. you see, every morning, in order to get to Permas Jaya, i have to take bus 123. so, when bus 123 arrived at the bus stop, something inside me told me not to board the bus. i dunno why, but i listened to my instinct. although i had to wait a while longer, i didn't mind. eventually, i hopped onto another bus, and i got a shock of my life! just outside Stulang, a cement mixer overturned, blocking the way. and what's more shocking, it hit the 123 bus that my instinct toldme not to hop onto! is this a miracle of God or what? i told myself that God must have sent angels to protect me from that unfortunate incident involving the other bus.



anyway, after that incident, it was back to normal service : it was my 2nd day into the part-time job, and i am pleased (actually not THAT pleased) to say that the day is over! whew! ok... the job is not that bad, but i am amazed that there was ABSOLUTELY nothing i did in the office! all i did was Facebook and blog! MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA... hopefully tomorrow i can be more 'useful', and at least do something around the office =)

BPL - Everton vs Liverpool review

I posted it too late! here's my review on the Merseyside (or Miseryside, as the newspapers put it, referring the the luckless fortunes of the two rivals) derby match that was played last Sunday! (for those who don't know, the Merseyside derby is the famous fixture between Everton and Liverpool, who are cross -town rivals... hence the word 'derby'). anyway, I, as a die-hard Liverpool supporter, had the honour of watching the match 'live' (no, not in Anfield, but at home!), and the match was pretty exciting! here are some photos :

> The beginning of the match was largely dominated by Everton, but on the 11th minute, against the run of play that probably changed the whole course of the game, Javier Mascherano received the ball and took a shot at goal. the ball unfortunately hit Everton defender Joseph Yobo, and it was 1-0 to Liverpool. the match stewards deliberated much on who the scorer was, given that the goal was kind of weird, but eventually the goal was a Yobo own goal.

< ahhh... the 'bromance' is going strong among the Liverpool players =)

and finally, to add the icing on the top of the cake, out popped Dirk Kuyt to add a second goal in the 79th minute. scrappy goal it was, but hey, a win is still a win =)

all in all, this victory was even sweeter because all Liverpool fans can at least celebrate something, in lieu of the disappointments the past few months have brought. hopefully this win has brought into the team some self-belief, that despite all the bad performances, Liverpool are still the team to fear! ROCK ON, Liverpool!

bored... zzz

wahahahahaha! guess what! i'm blogging from the office! hehe... read what my title says? lemme guess... you must be thinking, ''doesn't Marc have a job now? he must be busy!'' no seriously... it is SO freaking boring in the office! at least for the few hours i have been here (or today), i hardly did anything! the boss seems busy, and yet he doesn't have anything for me to do... wow... imagine that! it will be a few hours till it's time to go home, so i have to wait a while more =.=

1st day of my part-time job

finally! i am home! whew! i thought the day at work would never end! was beginning to miss home (at least for a while!) hahahaha... ahem! now seriously, back to the point..... today was kinda productive, i guess. i helped my boss cut out LARGE letters spelling (UNIVERSAL STUDIOS SINGAPORE!) and i pasted it onto embossed metal letters! (actually, i did LOTS of other stuff... just that this part-time job of mine is doing a bit of everything, so no confirmed 'job title'). in case you all haven't known, i am currently using this holidays to earn some moolah (dough, dosh, cash, etc etc etc.....) by working for this company that welds structures for the IR in S'pore, hence my 'work' today for the upcoming Universal Studios theme park. tomorrow is gonna be another day at work, and i hope that, for the REST of the month, it will all go smoothly... i will try to report on my day-to-day incidents, so watch out for it! hehehe :)




P.S my boss is a nice guy : he bought me bak kut teh lunch today! teehee! ^^
