in this second round of matches, GROUP D saw highly-fancied Germany taking on Serbia. the highlight(or lowlight) of the game was the sending off of Miroslav Klose as they lost 1-0 to Serbia. Milan Jovanovic found the net for Serbia as he claimed the only goal of the game. Germany had many chances to score, and the biggest culprit was Lukas Podolski, who missed a second-half penalty to top off all his other wasted opportunities.
